The problem is not that men do not feel it. It is that we do not say it.Roughly one in five men experiences a mental health condition each year. Men account for nearly 80% of all U.S. suicides, dying at about four times the rate of women — 23.0 per 100,000 versus 5.9. Yet only 17% of men received any mental health treatment last year, compared with 28.5% of women. Among those with a diagnosed condition, 41.6% of men get care versus 56.9% of women. Just 7.2% engage in talk therapy.
